Working as a Senior House Officer, also known as a Principle House Officer or Resident Medical officer, you are confident in your ability to assist junior staff and students whilst working under the support of Staff Specialists and Registrars. On a day to day basis, you will be able to initiate, maintain and manage patient care, gaining a hands-on experience to develop your skills and knowledge.

With opportunities available in various locations, you could find yourself enjoying the year-round sunshine in Queensland, the rugged and beautiful coastline in Victoria, or the well-kept secrets of South Australia.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for these positions, you must be at a minimum of PGY4+in your level of experience. You must have completed your degree and foundation years in Ireland, the UK, Canada or the USA or you must have completed PLAB part 1 + 2 plus 12 months of supervised practise within Ireland or the UK.

You will be able to commit to a 12-month position.
